In addition to the housing crisis that predates the pandemic, the number of children who are facing food insecurity, grieving the loss of a caregiver, and experiencing the isolation of being disconnected from in-person learning for an extended period of time has skyrocketed. Without reliably updated systems in place to identify emerging student needs in real-time, students and their families can suffer in isolation. Without strong networks of support in place, students and families are at risk of losing out on lifesaving resources."

1. BlueCard is SOC 2, FERPA and HIPAA compliant.  We've also implemented a 24/7 compliance solution and hired expert cybersecurity auditors to independently verify that your data is secure.
2. Securely refer vulnerable families to external supports.  A few taps is all it takes to refer families that are at risk of eviction, dealing with food insecurities, or struggling with mental health issues to CBOs and other agencies using BlueCard.
3. A trusted-network approach to supporting families.  When a teacher, after-school program, or CBO with access to your parents' cards has better information than what's on the card, they can ask the parent for permission to securely update their card with a tap... and all of the places supporting that family will get the update.
4. Track child vaccinations.  Keep track of students who have been vaccinated, have a COVID testing consent on file, and whether anyone in those households is reporting COVID symptoms or exposure in one place.
5. Special protections for special populations.  BlueCard is immigrant-founded, which is one reason why our service has many protective factors built-in for ELL/MLL households and those with special needs. Our tools make it easier for schools to create new channels of support for these and other special populations.
